What is a child Learner Profile?

A Learner Profile contains the details that your child will use to log into their Bond Online account. You will need to create a Profile so that your child can access the online tests.

Watch a step-by-step guide to creating a Learner Profile.

    • Click Create a profile
    • Tell your child their username and password
  • Log out of your parent account
  • Log in to your child’s profile with the username and password you just created

I’ve subscribed, but I can’t find the tests

If this is a new account, you will need to set up a Learner Profile for your child before they can start taking the tests. The tests are only visible when you log in to the child’s profile, not with your parent account details.

Follow these instructions on creating a Learner Profile, or watch our step-by-step guide:

  • Log into your Bond parent account.
  • Click on the Create a Learner Profile button
  • Create a username and password for your child – please make sure your child’s username is not the same as yours
  • Log out of your parent account
  • Log in to your child’s profile with the username and password you just created. Your child can log in at www.bond11plus.co.uk/home/klogin
  • Your child can now start taking the tests

If your child’s Learner Profile is already set up, check that your child is using the correct username and password to log in. If they can’t remember their details you can check their username or change their password on your My Children page when you are logged into your parent account.

Will the same questions be repeated in the tests?

Ten questions are chosen randomly from a bank of questions, so the tests will never be exactly the same.

How do I see my child’s tests?

You can check your child’s progress at any time by logging in to your parent account.

  • Click on My Children
  • Click on View reports against your child’s name
  • Select Subject
  • Select Topic
  • Click on Check answers against a test to get feedback and see which questions they answered incorrectly
How can Bond Online help improve test scores?

As your child builds up a score profile for each question type, it will become clear which questions they struggle with and which ones they can answer confidently. It’s important for them to answer each question type several times so that a clear picture emerges. You can then tailor their practice to target the types of question they find hardest.

Understanding the marks in the progress report

You will see percentage marks at 3 different levels:

  • Subject Level e.g. Maths – shows the average of all the maths tests your child has taken
  • Named test or topic e.g. Nets and Cubes – shows the average of the last 3 attempts at a specific test
  • Completed tests – shows the exact mark achieved for each attempt of a test
  • Best score is the highest mark achieved of all attempts at a specific topic

Please note: spellings, punctuation and decimal places may be taken into account when assigning a correct or incorrect mark.

What are the rules on marking accuracy for tests?

The rules about spelling, punctuation, decimal numbers and marking accuracy are:

Spelling – make sure your child pays careful attention to their answers as spelling mistakes will result in an incorrect mark.

Punctuation – make sure your child pays careful attention to any instructions regarding punctuation. Where appropriate, punctuation errors (e.g. use of full stops, apostrophes or speech marks) will result in an incorrect mark.

Decimal places – where appropriate, we will mark answers containing decimals places as correct, even where a decimal place is not needed. We would strongly advise children taking the 11+ exam to give answers in whole numbers where decimals are not required by the question (e.g. avoid 4 + 4 = 8.0).

Logged out and redirected home when taking a test

Do you have more than one Internet browser (or browser tab) open which is logged in to Bond Online? Try using one screen with no other tabs open.

If this does not help, the security settings on your browser may be interfering with Bond. Try using a different Internet browser to see if this is the cause, e.g. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari.

If you are still being logged out please contact our support team, with the subject line: Being logged out and redirect to the homepage when taking a test] and let us know your username and the Internet browser you’re using so that we can help you.
